AC-Hub
African Community Hub has become an imperative for today’s socio-economic situation. We believe that it is in the best interests for African community organisations to work together to reach their common goals.
The African diaspora in the city is a diverse one, drawn from several countries across Africa to include Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Cameroon, Sudan, Ghana, South African, Sierra Leone, Angolia, The Congo, Egypt, Rwanda, Zambia, Namibia, Guinea, Botswana, Rwanda, Libya, Uganda, Mozambique, Senegal, Burundi, Togo, Senegal, The Gambia and more representing over 50 countries. The diaspora is a growing one, but still lacks the resources and capacity compatible with its size and it needs to fully participate equitably on all socio-economic levels. The community aspires to grow as a cohesive unit and sees the need in building a driving force capable of steering growth, of which is not possible as an individual nation’s communities.
Within the local African community there is a common purpose and an understanding that this common purpose is unreachable individually as nation communities, hence there is a need for a strong and positive force drawn from across the African nations to move the collective community growth agenda forward. This being the African community hub would help to build a more cohesive and resilient identity that would create a vision on communality of purpose in harmonious integrated and interactive way.
